I don't know, they're running contrary to common supply and demands dictate. With no availability price should be astronomical not valuless.

What will happen when they have a bunch of them?

The gimbals fit the 9x. But magic is needed as not easy!

Lets hope they're cheaper than JR/Graupner is or was ?.

I owned a JR/Graupner MC-12 around 8 years ago.......after buying the basic 4Ch Tx off a mate. I needed to buy extra switches and dials to expand it fully to 7Ch.......but the retailer (based in Newark, UK) was charging something like £13.95 for a PnP on/off switch !!!!.

Instead, I made my own switches up for it, by going to Maplins, and getting an identical on/off switch for £1.49 !!!.

Spare main board would be nice :) The ones HK sell for the Turnigy 9Xr are only about 7$. Unfortunately they don't fit the 9x which would solve the reverse battery burn-out my friend experienced on his.

Some prices and stock now appearing!
The upgrade battery is only £10.19 (2000mAh, LSD), and 20+ in stock at T9.

Would the gimbals work with the stock 9x board?

They will fit - but need testing to check if they work. (And code changes to get the stick directions right)

Ok, then could the op-amp circuit be changed to match the 9x?? It could only be a matter of replacing some resistors with other ones with different values??

Maybe, but they are VERY tiny.
Anyway I doubt it's very significant, Rob could maybe post the raw values he gets but it will be nothing like the Aurora gimbals.

At least he seems to have confirmed that the amps that run on 3V in the Taranis work on 5V too... Not sure if he even considered the potential problem before connecting them :P

On the Taranis analog diag screen the sticks have a range of about 5/8 of maximum. On the 9X this will give around 640 'steps' of resolution end to end. This is about 1.5uS per 'step' or 0.15%. How wide are the deadband of your servos?

I know. I added a few switches to my Multiplex 3030 by buying standard miniature toggles from RF Potts in Derby (one of the remaining few electronics/govt surplus shops that started in the 40s/50s) who is almost always much cheaper than Maplins. Multiplex charged an arm and a leg, too. The switches are still going strong after a good few years in use.

I think T9 got the Eneloop ones made specially, the 'official' upgrade isn't going to be eneloop. IMHO eneloop cells are overpriced generally. I use Vapex 'instant' cells, much lower cost and certainly hold the charge well (http://www.vapextech.co.uk/acatalog/cop ... eries.html).

The battery is priced at £10 or so if you go in the Taranis spares link in the OP.
