open OpenTX logs with Android phone

Post by roybenhayun »

Hello,
When in the field instead of carrying a laptop, I'd like to be able to access the GPS logs on the Taranis X7 using an Android phone (Huwawei). So that if the drone crashes, I can open the logs and find its location.

I tried to follow the simple instructions in https://youtu.be/Ep_RrfOIW_k?t=324
However, when connecting the Taranis to the Android phone using the USB SD Storage, the installed File Manager identifies the connected Taranis, it shows the USB storage, but no items or files are shown.
(FWIW, I also enabled Developer Options in the phone)

Any advice from someone doing it would be much appreciated!

Hello,

The Taranis may not be properly configured to allow file transfers. To fix this, you may need to access the Taranis settings and make sure it is set to mass storage mode. Another possible solution would be to try another file management application on your phone, as the one you are using may not be compatible with the Taranis' file system.
