Taranis with spektrum rx issues

Hi all , to start with Happy Christmas
I have recently decided to move to open TX from spektrum , I like the idea of more options and reeivers seem good value , however I would like to still use my dsmx and if possible dsm2 spektrum receivers.
So I have a taranis X9D 2019 with a IRX4 PLUS external module , I have managed to sort bootloader and flashing and have latest uploads on both.
Problems , I can bind with spektrum AR410 & AR610 aerial less (new type)and they work but in range check dont give any RSSI value ie 0 is displayed , is there a way round this, is it safe to fly like this ?
Other spektrum rx, i can bind with old style AR610 with aerial and channels work apart from channel 1 which doesnt receive , also no RSSI value on bind.
other spektrum receivers bind but no channels work .
Any ideas on this as its beyond me and Im stumped !!!

Spektrum doesn't do RSSI, normal you don't have any. When there is one shown when using the multiprotocol module it's only a "guess" that may or may not be useful (often it is the RSSI of the return telemetry).

Do normal range checks.

Thanks for that , kind of thought that was the case but needed to be sure before flying .

Are you binding it in Auto mode?

Im binding it in Multi mode DSM cant find auto mode on radio, where should it be ?

Its a bit different on my radio but have now found auto setting and it does work !!!!! thanks for help and my apologies for being thick !!!
