How to attach a thumb joystick with select button function to the S1 port on a new Taranis x9

Hi hive mind

I am attempting to attach a thumb joystick with select button function to the S1 port on a new Taranis x9.

I think the pics attach are the appropriate cables but not sure how what cables are used
