Hello,
I want to Setup taranis as Input for HELIX Simulator.
What I did (in 2.2.3, Windows 10, Qx7s):
Set modules to off
Set "slave/jack"
Input ppm to usb cable into the DSC jack and connect to USB (this cable works perfectly with SPEKTRUM and should do so with Taranis)
Start Helix.
Heli-X receives some Information, but when calibrating, it only finds 1 Channel.
I can see 3 channels moving anyhow, but "Aileron" stick does nothing. Calibration then Aborts.
Same effect when using the USB Gamecontroller Tool in Windows 10.
Net search was not really helpful upto now.
Tips and tricks welcome !
best

Re: Taranis as game controller for HELIX
Hi schimaiw,
You must check the channel mappings.
Do not only look at channels # 1 to 4 or 1 to 8.
Often in games you can have ailerons mapped at channel 5 or even 9 or even higher like 10 or 12. It depends.
Explore all the channels under 16 and map your mixer in Taranis to those.
Hope that works.

Re: Taranis as game controller for HELIX
following helps:
- create new model (simple 2D also useful for Heli)
- in model Setup jack to "slave", both modules off, ch1-4
- ensure TX is calibrated (recalibrate, or load calibration)
- connect jack to USB with adequate interface cable
- start HeliX
- in Helix configuration\ Controller select X-axis, Y-axis, Z-axis, X-rot.
- under "sticks" follow setup menue
should work then...
To be honest: I did not understand why its now running. Most likely due to bold settings...
Hope it helps anybody.
Enjoy
