Save telemetry simulator settings

Hi all

I have companion 2.2.2.
Can you help me by telling me how I can save the telemetry simulator setting in a file and be able to load it.
Where is the save ?

I don't believe you can save one from within the simulator, I could be wrong.
However,If you logged a flight you can load and replay it. From the LOGS, or anywhere else.
Since Log files are easy to read, edit and save in OpenOffice, or Microsoft Office or similar spreadsheet programs, you could make one to your liking and play it.

Your idea is not bad, I can take an existing log file and load it with the current cels value in there.
However, I can't have the test values I want because I can't save the sim telemetry entries, I will need to fix my test values manually anyway.
I'm surprised we cannot save the sim telemetry entries, every thing else is available and so powerful.
The OpenTx developers have obviously done a fantastic job.

You can set the sim to log what you do while you play with the sim, and it'll make a log file that you can replay just like the real radio.

I tried what you suggested and it does not keep the LiPo cels individual voltages. All other telemetry shows up correctly.
When I save any simulation session into a log file and load it after, the cell voltages previously entered in the simulation window are not updated after the load.

I must be doing something wrong.

I simply want the 4 LIPO cells to be saved to test LUA scripts in the simulator. Presently I have to enter them each time manually.

That is correct, individual cell voltages are the one thing that is not kept in the log.

Hi,

To continue on the subject of the companion telemetry simulator, I noticed that if we put a voltage at any cell over 5 volts we can get the message "sensor lost" and/or the function pack_voltage = getValue("Cels") the table gets corrupted. This means there is some additional logic hidden behind the Cels simulator cell numbers.

Yes I know a LiPo does not go over 4.2V fully charged or else we have problems.

Is this true?

Nothing to do with the simulator, but the Cells sensor handling in the radio is not meant to handle irrealistic values that the sensor will never send in the first place. Possible that you even go above what the protocol the sensor uses can handle.

So this means this simulator behavior acts the same as the real FLVSS sensor. I never tried to put a real voltage over 4.2V on the sensor in fear it could damage the sensor.
So this is very good then if it has nothing to do with the simulator, it will help doing a more robust LUA program by managing outliers.
