18650 3.7v batteries

Post by xv1 »

I have a Radiomaster TX12, new and bought a couple sets of batteries for it. They're already fading and despite being 3.7v batteries won't charge beyond 8.1v.

I like to know what battery brand people here have found to be quality batteries....18650 3.7v

Links would be very helpful. Where to get them.

Thanks

Did you actually measure them externally? Might be the radio calibration that needs adjusting instead.

Very unlikely they'd fail that quickly unless they were fakes.

Yeah, I check them with my volt meter. The voltage does drop off. Almost immediately below 8v.

Even when using a remote charger, I check them straight out of the charger...and have never seen them over 7.9v. That's also what they read as soon as the TX12 got them up to 8.2...8.3v. They fall off fast.

Nobody else uses the 18650?

That's all perfectly normal. Drop is pretty quick to 3.7V/cell nominal around which it'll spend a good ~80% of the time to discharge.

I got two sets. One pair dies in half the time as the other set. Hit and miss. I'm just asking if anybody might suggest a reliable brand.
