I have a new Taranis X9DPlus.
I would like to fit a 3 cell LiFe battery. Does this require a regulator? Or is the Taranis capable of taking the higher voltage without problems?
I have read through the manual, but cannot find a reference to this.
Can someone please advise?
Jim.

Re: LiFe 3 cell battery for Taranis X9D Plus?
I've used a 8-cell NiMh battery in my prototype X9D+ for some years OK.

Re: LiFe 3 cell battery for Taranis X9D Plus?
Operating Voltage Range:6-15v (2s, 3s Lipos are acceptable)
The 3 cell LiFE is within specs for operating the tx, however the on-board charger does not support charging the LiFe. So you will have to remove your battery to charge it (safely.)
The wall wart is just a power supply to the tx's on-board charger, not a charger.

That's all good then; I thought so, just wanted to be sure.
I don't mind removing the battery to charge at all. I will do so and balance charge the LiFe. I have a spare one already.
Less maintenance required for the LiFe than the NiMh.
Thanks,
Jim.
