Taranis X9D+ USB wont connect when transmitter is on

Hello,

I was wondering how would I fix this issue, basically if the X9D+ is switched off and if i plug in a USB cable it will show STM32 BOOTLOADER in the Universal Serial Bus devices directory in the Device Manager. However if i try to turn on the X9D+ and try to plug in the USB cable it doesn't
respond and its as if it doesn't even know something has been plugged in.

I am trying to play FPV simulators on this so any help on how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Version?

Make sure the USB mode is set to Joystick or Ask in the radio settings.
