I am trying to get a better idea for how this flashing works on the Turnigy 9X. I have ER9X on the TX right now and I am just getting to wrap my hear around the settings especially for my first CP heli. However, I would also like to revert back to the original flash and eeprom. When I attempted to do so, I got an error message on Companion9X saying my eeprom was not vaild and it wouldn't load it. I don't know what I am doing wrong here as it seemed very straight forward to me for reverting back.
Load flash> get annoying beep> load eeprom and complete.
Please help as I would like to be able to switch back and fourth as I please.

Re: Reverting to original Turnigy FW
Just write the eeprom directly from file instead of trying to open it and writing from an open document.

Re: Reverting to original Turnigy FW
I have tried doing it directly from file within the program. My bin file is considered invalid. I am not sure what I am doing incorrectly here.
Re: Reverting to original Turnigy FW
OK, seems to be a bug in the current version of companion9x.
I've reported it, in the menatime you could either use avrdude via command line, or use eepe instead.

Re: Reverting to original Turnigy FW
This is the Mac version of the software I should note. I'll take a look at avrdude and that was going to be my last result last night. I love ER9X, but it will take me sometime to understand it better. I can also run a VM as I already have windows on my mac. I appreciate your support Kilrah.
Re: Reverting to original Turnigy FW
The bug will be present for all OS's.
It was likely introduced with the option that allows checking and patching eeprom files to adapt general settings to a stored radio profile. C9X reads the file even if those features are not activated, and as the stock eeprom is unrecognised C9X shows the invalid eeprom message. Best would be to ask whether to continue anyway or not.

Re: Reverting to original Turnigy FW
Well, I hope that a patch becomes available to revert back to the original firmware.
Re: Reverting to original Turnigy FW
As said, you can use eepe instead in the meantime.
