Is that correct ???
Do I need to solder Before resistor or after ???

Or do I need to remove them ???

It's wrong. You marked pins 25 and 26 of the atmega.. You need to solder to pins 27 and 28 of the atmega..
On my voice module I had to remove the resistors.

Thanks for your reply .

But here is TRIM port connection to chip Like Mike Suggested to connect Trim pins to X1 & X2 instead of Megasound
Just possibly, the firmware you have is looking for the trim switches on PORT C, bits 2 and 3. My original circuit shows these as connections X1 and X2. You could therefore try connecting the trim switches to these.
Serial to magasound go to pin 27 & 28 and this what I have.

And if I'm not mistaken, Pin 30 (RX) of the Atmega328 connects to pin 28 of the m128
and Pin 31(TX) of the Atmega 328 connects to pin 27 of the m128

The trim switches that connected before to pins 27 and 28 of the Atmega 128 connect now to the voice module, atmega328 pins 1 and 2, again if I'm not mistaken.
Pin 1 is Thr trim up
Pin 2 is Thr trim down

Serial works communication is fine to PC I can upload files without problem.

Problem I have and it looks like Mega Sound don't talk with Atmega128 for some reason ;(

Don't work That way :(

That what I got now and its not working

Are you sure you connected the trims to pin 1 and 2 of the voice module, and connected the voice module to pins 27 and 28 of the radio's processor? Your picture above is wrong..

Do you have the FTDI always connected to the voice module? That won't work without a diode or two. Try disconnecting the FTDI adapter..

Attached pictures is for TRIM connection as MIke Suggested

And all connected like this

PD2 - Pin 27
PD3 - Pin 28

Atmega328 pins 1 & 2 connected to TRIM wires

I have posted some videos of what it do when it turned on.

And FTDI is disconnected when no needed

Please try connecting
m328 PD0 - Pin 28 Radio
m328 PD1 - Pin 27 Radio

PD3 and PD4 on the m328, to the trim switches.

And if there is any FET transistor on the m328 serial lines, remove it and bypass it.

There is one diode on ATMEGA328 PD1 should I remove by pass it??

yes, bypass that one. PD1 connects to pin 27
Put a schottcky diode with the Anode on PD0, and the cathode connects to Pin28. But you can try without the diode before. Don't connect the FTDI. You will need that diode and probably another one on the FTDI line later.. but before test without to see if it works

Hi all again

Got some success here

But only playing file 40 (Dont do anything if i press from 0 to 9)

Back light same always on.

So recompiled to TEST 0 back where started ill try to remove diode to see if it makes difference

When you press 1-9 (remember 0 drops you to the bootloader so if you tried that first you stop the board playing anything), do you get 1-9 echoed back?

Mike.

Thanks for reply

i get nothing echoed back

just line off XXXXXX"Euro sign"XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ans so on looks like euro sign shows up when its start to play soaund again

So board works just tripple checked connections all as required still no joy :(

Wired TRIM lines to X1&X2 Trims working now fine.
Audio as it was no difference still just ticking just dont get it :(((( :(((((((((((((

If you don't get the 1-9 echoed back, then it seems the character you typed isn't getting to the Megasound processor.
Another check is to type the ESC character, and you should get a 'E' echoed back.

Can you still upload files OK?

Mike.

Thanks again

Just tried E S E and more nothing Echoed back

File upload works fine just have to re flash to TEST 0 to be able to talk to SD card

The way im testing is keep renaming different file to 0040 and uploading to sd via EEPE

And all files play fine

If the trims are working, it means that the megasound is now working and the communication between radio and voice module is also working.. Why don't u just flash the normal file??

If i flash standard amod_ser_hex it stops working radio wont do any sound at all just ticking speaker that all. Here i hit wall cant figure out what to do now :(

Did you put the diode as I described? Did you remove the resistors?
If you flash "amod_ser_hex" do the trims and backlight work? (Just connect an LED, doesn't have to be the backlight itself)

Tried to by pass diode same

Im using oliver audiosound

Radio firmware is er9x 128 and yes flashed amodserial

All wired up us needed

Pins 25 and 26 from where?? :)

Attached is the schematic from my voice module with arduino, and a picture with the pinout of the Atmega328P and the corresponding arduino pins. If you don't connect the things as they should be, IT WILL NOT WORK.. :(

Do you have the schematic from your board? Ort at least a link where i can get it..

No, I suggested connecting the trims to pins 25 and 26 of the ATMEGA328 on the megasound board.

You say the backlight is working. Can you turn it on and off by assigning a switch to the backlight in the Radio setup menus and then using the switch to turn the backlight on and off?

For when using the TESTING firmware, please confirm you have the files 0001.wav to 0009.wav on the SD card.

I'll get back to you with some test firmware, probably some time tomorrow.

Mike.
