Continuous rotating hall effect sensor in OpenTX

I'm building a large scale ship with Azipods/Azimuth and I would like to build a custom control/lever like the one on this page. https://www.mdg-rc-electronics.nl/scheepsmodelbouw/

I was thinking of using a 360 degree hall effect sensor. Does anyone know if it's possible to add this sensor in terms of software?

I would also want to show the Azipods angle in a gauge on the display of v the radio. I have looked at the
Radiomaster tx16s and that color screen would be perfect to show the angle.

I'm good at cad and 3d printing an graphics but I'm a disaster when it comes to programming and software so please be gentle
