Problem while turning on X9E

Hey!

Is it possible to turn on the X9E while the USB cable is connected? I can't seem to do it, but not sure if there is some sequence that might allow it.
If it is not possible, is this something that I could change in the firmware? I'm fine with creating my own build if that is what I need to do to make this work. Pointers in the right direction are greatly appreciated.
