Cant use X7 as a joystick in the companion simulator

Hello everyone. I would like to use my x7 as a joystick when I'm using the simulator in the companion. When my x7 is connected as a joystick and I check the enable box in the settings, it state's that no joystick found. Thanks in advance for any help.

After you check the box you need to download that firmware and flash it to the transmitter.
Did you do that?

That's unrelated, joystick hasn't been a firmware option for a while.
What firmware version on the radio? Did you make sure to set USB mode to Joystick in the settings?
