Rob, I'm really not sure what "fish" is --but I took a stab at it just the same.

To any who use these.
As before, all of the files are 64x32 4 bit .bmp files - the names may not be appropriate for the taranis so check to see they are not longer than 10 characters (I think) before trying to use them.

It occurred to me today that Hobby King allows files to be uploaded for each of their products.

If legions of FrSky warriors (hyperbole) were to upload the icons we generate for their corresponding models on Hobby King it could do alot to advance the awareness of the Taranis. Each file could be named "Frsky Taranis Icon".

EDIT*** We'll see if Hobby King approves the icons. I just uploaded the F4U to every F4U in every warehouse. The upload requires approval. I also uploaded the wing wing icon to all of the wing wing pages in each of the warehouses. And I did an icon for the New Texan they brought out today and uploaded it. I guess if they don't approve the files, then that is pretty pointless.

All images in the zipped file are 64 x 32 and 4 bit greyscale for the FrSky Taranis. Some are models I've done before, but am trying to improve. Others are new and unique.

I uploaded icons for every F4U, wing wing, and bixler that Hobby King has. They did not clear the censors. So much for that idea. :-(

Hy,

what about Artworks for Splashscreens for Taranis Format 212x64Pixel 2Bit
Modells are now more as needed, can we take all together in one zip file?

I will work on splash screens soon. I have many started, but still have plenty of other planes to finish for plane icons.
As requested I've attached a compilation of all of the model icons to date. Actually, not all - I deleted some I didn't like so much.

Anybody that has already downloaded the previous zip files will find this attachment is superfluous.

O -- ya, One other thing I realized. The ordering of the icons in the Taranis is CASE SENSITIVE - so I've changed all to start with an upper case letter.

I could not find that option in the Gimp export dialogue. So still needs conversion. Resolution should be ok already.

These are the additions to the icon library for the Taranis. In addition to the 9 new models, I've included all icons in this zip because I found some changes needed to be make to a handful of them that were wrong bit depth or names were awkward. Also enhanced a couple of the early ones. There are 188 icons, representing about 180 models now. (some are duplicated with different looks).

EDIT: To avoid duplication and confusion I've deleted the .zip files in my previous posts and have it here now. From now on I'll post the most recent .zip on the first post and keep that one updated.

There are so many different .zip files of icons I've consolidated them (and made some corrections) and will keep the most recent compilation of icons in a zip file in the first post of this thread. As I have new models I'll post the .png of them as Andre' taught me - but refer to first post for downloading.

Excellent!

Some little comments for you:
- Some names are too long
- Some need a capital as the first letter

Some little comments for me:
- The alphabetical order should be case insensitive
- It would be good to display an info near the filenames in the SD Manager, and the preview if the file is a BMP!
- If the file is a BMP, it should be possible to assign it to the current model

Thanks Bertrand -- that's some of what I've been looking for and changing. I'll keep on it. Please confirm that the names are limited to 10.bmp characters. I almost need to make an database of all of the icons to give more information on them .. such as manufacturer, etc. Yikes.. lots of work there.

This project has sort of evolved and taken on a life of it's own.

I have modified all of the names so they are 10 characters or less. This makes understanding what some of the models are a little difficult.

The first post has been updated with the latest .zip file and also with the previews seen below.

Done :)

It would be good to have a release, these features are really useful to quickly choose a bitmap in the folder!

Is there any chance we can get more bit depth for the splash screen? It seems that it will only address 4 tone (2 bit) graphics, any chance for 4 bit graphics?

FANTASTIC feature in this release. It was the first time I'd looked at many of those icons in the Taranis screen. Some I was pleased with, others not so much. This will help me determine which icons need improving or replacing. I didn't try to assign to current model -- I just scolled through the SD card. Really nice.

Hello,

very nice icons !!!

Do you think if it is possible to have the same one for GAUI NX4, BLITZ AVRO 90, BEAM E6 AVANTGARDE, TREX 600N and COMPASS ODIN 90 ?

Or the method to do it ?

Better thanks.

First I must say - very well done. Helicopters are particularly difficult to do because there is so much background in pieces to remove as the first step.

Are there any objection if I was to add these new Heli and viper to the one massive .zip on post #1? (appropriate credit in the post will be given)

I should renew my efforts here -- I have 65 more in large pictures ready to work on.

Scott I just copied your pack on the radio and noticed there were I think 2 that didn't have the correct dimensions (too high), and one was a 24bpp bitmap.
Also I think it might be good to avoid the (1) in duplicate names, maybe -1 or just a 2 at the end?
