I had a request for some Multiplex so here is a collection of much of their current aircraft. Also there is a Bixler II -- actually it's my bixler II from a photo taken by my wife.

I'll amass the collection in post #1 about the first of August. Until then it's just here all lonesome. Please check my names and bit depth. The zip file below has all of these icons. I tend to get going in a zone and don't remember what I'm even doing.

When I try to download from this or other threads on Taranis my PC just gets stuck with a 'connecting' message in Firefox!

Downloads from other sites does not seem to be a problem however!

Anybody else seeing similar issues?

Cheers

Just fired up the Fox (little joke) and no problems downloading from this page from within Firefox. Right clicked on link and choose download link as....

Just tried again this morning after re-booting PC - no problems :)

Wow nice thread !!!

Ideas for more Icons:
-Batman Dark Knight Icon
-Bee / Wasp / Hornet
-FPV Quad Frame - Maybe TBS Discovery?
-A camera or Gimbal Icon (Camera Operator Mode)

That would be my wishes :) Guess others would love it too

Thanks Scott !
Great artwork !

Could you tell me how you do it? Is there a special trick for color-reduction or something?
Or can i just take any colored icon / image, render it for the white background, make it black and white and am ready to go?

Greetings from Germany !

Lots of "tricks".
1. Remove the background -- even if it's white leaving only the model.
2. Add a layer behind the model that's pure white.
3. Convert model to B&W but not just by removing color saturation - but with a B&W adjustment that allows different colors to be darker or brighter
4. Darken the bright areas of the model so the "whites" are actually about level 4 of the - 16 shades of grey.
5. sharpen if needed
6. flatten and save as a 4 bit greyscale.

The real "trick" is to make the "whites" of the model darker than the white background because "white" = transparent on screen. I've been working with Photoshop professionally for 20+ years so I have an unfair advantage.

That one really looks spooky to me. I hated the Taranis name when I first heard it. I hated it when I second heard it. However it's sort of growing on me now. It sure beats X9XY9s type names.

Dean would do. In a perfect world I'ld put in my AMA # and phone number.
Dean I can get, but AMA and phone seem to have to be too few pixels for decent readability.

I had them fine on my t9x.

It's just a shame that the name is now also associated to a machine that can cause great destruction :(
