Is it possible to support old receivers with a firmware update?
If so how is it requested.

Assume you are referring to frsky?
This is unfortunately not possible. We are in discussion with them to sort out a receiver firmware update. Not sure if this will cone to anything yet.

I am assuming the later models such as D8RII (telemetry) will be supported by Taranis?

Anything D and V-II is supported. Only the first generation V aren't.

It would be nice if it was possible to update the V series to V-II. But not really in FRSKY's interest I guess.
