Hi Jeff,

first of all have a look at this thread with the manuals. This will answer some of your questions.

In "9XR Pro Using Eepskye Program 2014-03-26a.pdf" you will find a link to this page.
There you can download the installer for eepe.
In the directory where eepe will be installed you will find eepskye.
Create a shortcut to your desktop and you're done.

Googlecode has blocked downloads of .exe files. This means eepe is now downloaded as a .zip file.
Go here: https://code.google.com/p/eepe/source/b ... nstall.zip, and click on "view raw file" (on the right of the page), then select "save as".
Now open the .zip file and run eePeInstall.exe. This will install eepe (and eepskye). It will probably only create a shortcut to eepe. Go to the eepe folder and look for eepskye.exe in it. Create a shortcut to this, then run it!
These versions of eepe and eepskye should correctly look for updates as a .zip file.

For this steps TX is not needed.

Where you go next may, of course, depend on what you wish to do.
Several manuals are available to help, see: viewtopic.php?f=123&t=5581.

Quick answer:
Hold the two horizontal trims on the Tx towards the centre, then switch the Tx on. This starts the Tx in bootloader mode.
Now plug the USB cable in to the Tx (other end already in the PC of course!). You should now get two disc drives appear on the PC. One is the SD card and the other allows access to the EEPROM and firmware.
Now run eepskye. You should be able to read the EEPROM from the Tx. (Look for the toolbar button "Read Memory from Tx", it looks like a chip with a green arrow on it).

He meant PRESS both horizontal trims inwards towards the center for f the tx whilt turning the radio on. The radio will enter bootloader mode. That allows you to connect it to the computer with the USB cable.

well, if you have the eepe file all over your hard drive, then there is something wrong :)

If I was you I would start all over again.
1- download eepe
2- unzip and install the eepe program
3- Go to eepe's installation folder (something lilke "C:\Program Files (x86)\eePe"), and look for a file called "eepskye.exe"
right click on it and select "send to" and then "Desktop (Create Shortcut)". this will put a shortcut to eepskye on your desktop. Just click on it and it should open eepskye.
I'm assuming you're using windows of course..
Good luck

I wanted to share a mix I had created in eepeskye with a club member that's using a Taranis with otx2.x FW. I couldn't? Finally I wrote it down for him looking at the screens.
Is there a model mix sharing tip to use when crossing over from the different FW configs?
I'm aware that he can load a ersky9x version on his Taranis but I don't want to get that involved with all the questions that will come from it right now. I pointed him to this site in case he wants to try it on his own. I am interested however in exploring this since I hadn't tried it before.
Thanks

Companion might still be able to import and try to convert a model from ersky9x to opentx, but as the firmwares are so different now lots of things might be broken.

When you BACKUP a model on the radio, it writes a .eepm file to the SD card. You could try loading that, by drag and drop, into c9x.

The eepskye installer for Windows appears to be infected according to Norton. Supposed to be infected with WS.reputation.1
