I think I have the update checking sorted, it will be in the next revision. This will mean that that revision will check for subsequent revisions, so the fix won't be obvious until I do another revision after the next one.

I haven't had time to look at the C9X wizard yet. I was busy sorting the GVARS editng.

Mike,
Brilliant and thanks. No rush, waiting patiently. According to the old adage, "Good things, eventually, comes to those who wait". Cheers.

Is the latest eepesky ok?
When I run it, it opens a window and it stays blank. All I did was the latest eepesky update. It was working.
I've rebooted several times after the update.
On my other computer, both XP, with the older eepesky it works normally.
I just need a confirmation before I dig into it.
C9x is ok reading the mixes on either computer.
The samba paths have not been changed.

Is there a location where the older versions of eepeskye are located for download? I want to go back one version from the latest as a test. If its bundled with eepe now do I just load an older eepe?

SM,
The latest version of eepskye is V371. eepskye would not detect it in my case so I used eepe to detect, download and install the latest version of eepe. eepskye lies within it as a rule. All seems to work even with sam-ba 2.12. Hope this helps.

Ok, solved!
Dumb me finally realized that eepeskye was looking in the wrong directory for samba. It must have changed the config path? Amazing what a nights sleep and reassurance that's it does work can do for one.
Sorry for the false alarm but once again it proves that usually it all works, it's the pilot error factor you have to deal with.
That and late night thinking!
Anyone with samba issues, check the path to the samba2.xx .exe in your config and I'll bet it will work for you.
It's the little details that usually trip us up.
Thanks as always for help and support when I mess up.

SM,
Mike has just fixed the sam-ba 2.12 issue. eepskye will now work with sam-ba 2.12 as well as sam-ba 2.11. I am actually using it as this very momnet. Check it out.

That Mike, does he ever sleep?
Is there a direct link to samba 2.12 that doesn't require registering?
I know it's newer but does it offer any advantages? Just educating myself.
Thanks

I'm putting a (zipped) copy of the SAM-BA 2.12 install onto the downloads section of ersky9x on google code.

Release done!

Add FAS current offset - The setting is in "Telemetry2"
Add Auto limits adjust option on sub-trim - Up to 10% of sub-trim is auto added to the limits, setting is in "MODEL SETUP".

Er9x manual and ersky9x.
I got an email inquiry from a ver 3 sky board owner having model and programming and FW programming troubles.
He tried a FW update to fix what he thought was FW issues like not being able to delete selected model memories. That not being a bug but as we know a feature. His update got him a lot of overflow messages and garbage on the display. More about that later.
This was done to try and make the fw in line with the manual. Something I think will never totally catch up.

My questions to straighten this out are,
A link please to the most current manual that represents er9x and ersky9x.
I'm going to have him try eepeskye because it's dedicated to the skyboard.
Should I have him use the Sam-Ba v2.12 you've posted with eepeskye as the best current combo?
I plan to mirror the same programs and settings and win? Pgm so we can work this out. I'm sure it's a knowledge of over all use and not hardware.
Thanks everyone, I'm sure it'll work out.

The manual needs quite a bit of updating, I try every so often to do some of it. The "master" copy is on the googlecode site under "doc" in openoffife format, with a .pdf as well. The pdf is supposed to be included in the eepe release, but I need to remember to make sure it is updated to match the current content of the .odt file.
I'm hoping to release an update to er9x/ersky9x/eepe/eepskye very soon, so I will try to make sure the latest .pdf is in there.
In the modelselect popup, the delete option will not appear for the currently selected model.

Anyone who feels they can provide any updated text for the manual is, of course, welcome to do so. I won't take me long to paste something new into the file.

I just reloaded r173 that caused no delete issue came up in the email I got. I reloaded r173 and 174 and admit with a few tries couldn't do it. I loaded in r175 and the popup delete of a non selected model was there and works. I'll hopefully get him up and running r175 but did he/I miss a button push in those two revs? I don't delete models much except on the computer.

Mike: I think the custom splash screen is still not working in eepskye. It still calls for hex file while the fw is bin file. Just keep it on your to do list, not urgent. I still can burn custom screen using C9X for now.

I found the same thing 2 days ago, I also used c9x for a custom screen.

If you get a chance please look at r177 I think I've lost the power on #28 voice message and WS IMP altitude alarm feature. I do see the altitude ok, just no alarm. That or I'm missing a config option with the latest revision and need to find it.
My telemetry and voltage alarms do work and my selected module does announce correctly.

Welcome message still OK for me, have you disabled the slpash screen? This turns the welcome message off as well I think.

Not sure about the WSHH alarm, not having a WSHH makes it difficult to test, I'll try to set up a simulator for it.

I recovered my sky board from the opentx bricked condition and reloaded ersky9x and my models. I bet the sign on screen is disabled! I'll check it when I get back home later.

About the altitude alarm, yes please check it as you've done so many time for me in the past. If it looks ok I'll check my menu settings again bit by bit.
I have the sensor but to check it out I have to go to 400+ft. That's difficult because my ladder only goes to 300 ft. Ok, a little joke there.

I wonder if holding the sensor near a vacuum cleaner could produce a sufficient reduction in local air pressure to get a reading. If it is only a small reduction, try it at the top of your ladder!

Great idea Mike on the vacuum cleaner. I give it a try tomorrow.
About the sign on announcement, it was a setting messed up with the reload I did and missed. I didn't have SpreakerVoice selected on radio page 1.
I swear I looked at it several times and it was correct but obviously it wasn't.
I hate when that happens! Thanks for the tip on the altitude alarm. Maybe I missed something there I hope.
If the vacuum cleaner works it'll be my new piece of bench test equipment.

You might be asked to vaccum the complete house while you are at it.. :o
I normally try to stay away from such torture instruments. Use with caution and make sure no one is looking

Not by my wife! She'd be far more interested in the actual experiment.
Another thought, I've got a water spray unit you pump air into to provide pressure for the water spray. Should be able to put the Rx, a battery and the sensor into it (in a plastic bag to keep dry!). Then just pump up the pressure!

Later today I hope to try your ideas.
Never leaving sea level much I'm assuming that the higher I go the less air pressure I'll have.
So a vacuum pump or cleaner connected to a chamber holding my sensor is what I want? With a gauge of some sort on it and enough vacuum I could simulate altitudes my RC plane would see up to 10,000 feet. At that point the black hawk helicopter gun ship would be helping me track it I think in Los Angeles.
I have a 2 hose SMD part vacuum pump that's variable. Maybe that and a thick walled screw top food or liquid storage container would make a nice setup? Drill into the cap and insert brass tubing to match the pumps silicone tubing size or shop vacuum cleaner hose adapter.
At first it all sounds like over kill but Mikes idea got me thinking about how to bench test the new vario I ordered an well as the altitude sensors I use before going to the field. I hate messing with my tx menus while flying at 400 ft to see why the alarms aren't working.
