openxsensor reading data from ESC internal telemetry

Hello i see that many flybarless (Spirit or Brain2) units for helis now have the ability to read the telemetry data directly (with the specific output cable) from some ESC that has integrated telemetry like Castle Creations Edge and Talon series or last HobbyWing ESC or Graupner ESC and transfer to TX telemetry. I'm asking if with openXsensor firmware there will be in the future the opportunity to read those data an translate them to for example s.port readable by OpenTX.

Let me know
Thanks

First off, do you have any links to the format of the telemetry data available?

Mike.

Hello Mike for Castle Creations telemetry ESC they have a public document about Link Live explaining the output protocol.
Here is the link:
http://www.castlecreations.com/castle-link-live

For Hobbywing i will try to write to their support and see if they can help.

Thanks and let me know if it will be possible to do it with the data provided by Castle.

Thanks

Looks like that needs the throttle PPM signal to be proessed by the openXsensor.

Mike.

Hi,

I've implemented Hobbywing V3/V4/V5 and PWM protocols in an arduino project. Not into the openxsensor project though

Castle link protocol will be added soon

Cheers,
Daniel
