Serial data link 433mhz 500+ mW

Hello everybody!
I am newbie here and I need your help. I am interested in building
bi-directional transparent serial data link over 433MHz (>500mW).
What I want is able to exchange some data (speed is not important)
between 2 locations (2 km range) over RS232. RF link should be
resilient to dropped packets. Basically I want to send/receive data
over serial port like it is connected with cable. What hardware/software
can be used to build such system?
