Make through hole components from SMD

I needed some capacitors for some bread board testing but I only had some surface mount caps. So, I made my own through hole caps.. This can be also done using resistors , diodes, voltage regulators, and maybe even transistors..
I wrote the part number on a piece of a label paper, and then cover both sides with clear hot glue.. I had to be careful not to put too much glue over the numbers, of course :)
Using a similar technique we can also make through hole components with different pin separation, using a piece of stripboard and an SMD component..

The idea might not be new but I haven't seen it here yet. I hope it helps someone ;) :)
