Mainboard defect in S-Port update

Post by markusr »

Hi there,

I made a fatal mistake today with an update of my Horus.
A voltage source was connected to the receiver.
I connected the S-port connection from the receiver with a wrongly polarized cable (swapped the + / GND to the module slot for the update).

The Horus went out briefly.
After a restart everything worked again I could also measure U-Batt on the module shaft.

Unfortunately, the internal TX no longer works, or the communication, even an update of S-Port devices no longer works.
I suspect that "only" something on the S-port is defective.

I opened the remote control and immediately found a defect. (Picture attached)
Component FB31 is probably defective, I'm not sure about FB31 because it is no longer easy to read.

Do you know what that component is? Fuse?

Thank you

Thanks for the quick help!
The Horus works again!
have now "unsoldered" the FB31 and bridged.

Replacement has been ordered.

Made the same mistake with my Horus X12s yesterday and have been sick about it all day. Looks like I will have to order a main board but I am wondering if the iXJT module will have to be replaced as well?

Don't worry. It is nearly impossible to damage a iXJT in this context.
