Horus X12S internal RF module firmware update

Post by SR71 »

I just received a new X12S and updated it to OpenTX 2.2.0.

Is it possible to update the internal RF module firmware from OpenTx ?

If not, how have I to proceed ?

TIA for the help.

You have to reflash FrSky OS, boot it once at which time it will update the module, then flash OpenTX again.

Just as a point of interest, why would you want to update the RF module?? I too have the Horus, OpenTX2.2 on board. All works well - what is missing??
thanks

Nothing is missing AFAIK.
As I received past week a new Horus from the Italian FrSky reseller (and I too switched it to OpenTx 2.2), I was asking for information completeness, just in case in the future we have to upgrade the firmware module.

OK thanks, I'm very pleased with the Horus, OTX 2.2 and how it all works. Now its all working I'm not inclined to meddle with it any more!
