I also have multi modules installed internally in my radios, I don't have a Taranis though. But the only advantage in my opinion is the screen size, as my 9x radios have all the goodies, including controlling power to both internal and external modules. I don't really miss a Taranis. :)

jhsa , I am going to install modules inside my pro's . I will also need to install your power switch . I like the feel of the pro better .The screen size doesn't bother me as I'm looking up while I fly . The voice has made it so much better !

You will have to build.your own modules power switch. Can you solder and are you familiar with programming an Attiny85 chip?

Will post the link to the project page when I get to my PC.

I Use my pro as my main radio . ERSKY9X is a fantastic FW
I like your idea of using the brain of a Taranis as a base to build your own radio. I did something similar with the board of a 9XR-Pro.

Will you share some photos, please ?

It is the link Bob posted just above. But you said above that you found the thread about the switch and I thought it wasn't necessary to post the link to it anymore :(

Hi, it's possible to flash frsky receivers like the OPenTX does?

I mean using the module bay and the microSD.

Guys were can I find this option:

"XJT module has "double rate" option to reduce latency"

Shall I enable it to reduce latency?
I am using r221 final version

Thanks

I remember something about that several years ago.
The reduce latency info may be in the manual for the receiver and so maybe not in one of the old XJT manuals.

In the protocol menu you can activate.
I guess after should rebinding the receiver.Image
I'm using beta r222d4 firmware.

I added this in "ersky9xProvR222a7", so you need to have flashed that, or a later, test version.
No rebinding is necessary.

Updated with last test version and going to test it tomorrow :)
Considering that I am already using 8ch how much latency decrease should I expect from this if any?
Thanks

Probably none if using 8ch mode.

Awesome!
BTW with the R9M module set to 8ch, betaflight still show rc input update of 18ms (I was expecting 9ms like with XJT)
Is this a normal behavior? changing from 8ch to 16ch doesn't see to make diference.

Is that using SBUS or servo outputs?

I don't know, I've not done any latency testing with the R9M.

I got a reply from Frsky:

"Hi Andre,

Thanks contact us, the R9M module don't support 9ms packets like the built-in 2.4Ghz XJT module of the transmitter.

Best regards
Ray"

ERSkyTX on the new Taranis X9-Lite - first flights.

Three flights on my Durafly Tundra with the new radio.

I’m liking the feel of the radio - compact with very decent sticks. Lighter and more comfortable than the QX7.

Using RX6R with ACCESS firmware.
