ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

erskyTx runs on many radios and upgrade boards
ersky9x was a port of er9x for use on the sky9x board.

WOW and OMG!! I never thought it'll be this complicated. I just wanted to flip and self-level! Hahahaha! BUT I am prepared! Thanks for the effort!

You guys are the best! Fast reply everywhere!

(N.B. There should be a reset/clear all menu somewhere in the Logical Switches page. When you have all the values up and you can't figure out and just want to reset do it all over again you wanna hit this "ahhhhh s***!" button. Also a copy/move is helpful :D)

Klaus, a simplified version of your idea.. ;) Save a couple logical switches

L1 |v|>val Ele 98
L2 |v|>val Ail 98
L3 OR L1 L2
L4 1-shot L3 0.3
L5 1-shot !L3 0.3
L6 OR L4 L5

Use L6 in the mix..

CH6 100% FULL Switch (L6)
R 100% FULL Switch (TRN)

Yeah, I think I suggested that a while ago when Mike was implementing the voice menu.. Sometimes it would be nice to copy, delete, or delete all the logical switches lines.

Yeah, that's true.

Sometimes I hardly struggle with this boolean algebra... :) ;)

And so I tested it..

It could be buggy that when I twitch the right stick AIL/ELE too fast, it stays on and does not come back to original, that's fine, I'll just remind myself not to over twitch. However, it seems that it (fc?) doesn't recognize that he is on agility(acro) mode and the quad does nothing. I am thinking that I need to jerk the right stick a bit to tell the fc that "hey you are in agility mode now and continue doing a full pitch/roll now!". 1-shot again? Jerk a 0.3s roll or pitch into the switch?

maybe you need to activate that so called agility mode before you move the sticks? If you do it at the same time it might not recognize the stick movement?

Yes, exactly!

João
Ahh no. It's like horizon mode, you fc stabilizes your quad and when you max your right stick, it allows you to flip your quad and when you release your stick it levels it back again.

Thing with Blade Nano QX is that it's only stability OR agility(acro) mode only, there's no in between. We are trying to solve the in between but only activate it at certain points/boundaries of the right stick.

Does the nano QX change its color from blue to red when you try to flip?

It does. I think it needs a jerk or something.

I think of two possibilities:
  • it's just as João posted:
The nano QX changes into full agility mode only when the sticks are (nearly) centered...
This can be solved by forcing ch2 and ch3 to 0% for a short moment before activating agility
  • Change to agility mode is suppressed as long as a movement is detected...
    That would be a problem.

Maybe the following can work:
switches.jpg
mixes.jpg
Note: the duration of the 1-shot at L4 and L5 must be longer than the delay for CH6 in the mixer.
If not, CH6 doesn't send a pulse to activate agility mode.

I cannot test it myself, 'cause one motor of my nano QX is suffering ...

Thanks Klaus! I'll test this one.

I got 2 motors popped out of the can, apparently the motors at micro-motor-warehouse easily pops out if you don't bottom out the motors, I didn't get the memo. :(

Here's what we are trying to flip and my TH9x in the background.

Ok, Check this one in eepskye :D
I'm not writing all the seetings here as there are many..
What is supposed to do is:
When moving one of the stick to full, The stick will center, Channel 5 will pulse once enabling agility mode while the stick channel is still centered, then stick will go full again, Hopefully the quad will flip here. and then ch5 will pulse again to turn agility mode OFF.

As you can see there is a lot going on in a very short period of time, and timing might be very important. So please test all this in eepskye first, then with props OFF if possible..
I don't have that model, but I might try something similar on my CX-10.

As soon as the quad starts flipping you will have to release the stick to center obviously..

Hopefully it will work. Ersky9x and automation, yeaaahhhh..

For those things it would be nice if we could reduce simulation speed (e.g. by 1/2,1/5,1/10,...) in eePskye, wouldn't it?
(Or is it possible and I missed it?)

What puzzled me a bit is the fact that to delay the activation of a switch (in the mixer) we need to set the down delay.
I had expected to use the up delay (up for switching on/down for switching off).
Bug (not as intended) or feature (described somewhere  ) ?

No,not possible as far as I know, but I agree that slowing the simulation down would be a nice feature, specially for situations like this one where things happens on a certain order and very close to each other..

No, you are absolutely right.. There is a bug in eepskye and ersky9x. Bug is also present in er9x_V2.
It works differently from "Slow".. Mike, could you have a look please?

Thanks

Indeed, delay does seem to operate in the opposite sense to slow, both on the radio as well as eepskye.
I probably need to change this, but it will mean existing mixes on radios would have to be re-programmed.

I think that would work. On the radio you wouldn't even notice it I believe.
In eepskye/eepe change the label and then swap positions. All will look as before ;)

A simpler question here.
I found out my timer when it is count down to zero, the Tx no longer vibrates as before (long time ago). Although I did turn on the warning. I wonder if there is another place to turn on the vibrator when the timer is up?

Fixed the delay sense by just swapping labels around so existing mixes continue to work.
Haptic on timer: the settings used to be general (and still are available there), but are now also in the model. It seems only the one in general causes the haptic to operate (at present).

Errrh, may be my fast aging eyes(started recently  ), I checked the model general setup, I could not see a warning related to haptic. I see beep warning and beep count down, both I turned OFF.
when timer is up, the screen timer part does flashes, just no haptic.

It is the "Beep Countdown" setting in the general settings that enables the haptic when the timer goes negative.
