erskyTx runs on many radios and upgrade boards
ersky9x was a port of er9x for use on the sky9x board.

There are no mods to do on the ersky9x board.

The whole point for developing it was to include all the functionality that required mods on the stock board directly onboard. To have audio, just connect your speaker to the speaker header. To control backlight just connect the backlight to the backlight header, and you can control on/off and brightness from the software.

when we spoke before you didn't say that you had the ersk9x board.. I thought you had the normal stock 9x and wanted to add sound to it..

There are no voice mods.

You load up either firmware, er9x or open9x for ersky board.

Insert micro sd card with the appropriate voice files in teh proper directory.

Goto the setup screen, select speaker voice for sound. (make sure you cut the red wire on the board, not the Large wite wire, just the short red wire. That's there for people who have done the pieze speaker mod.)

And that's it, you should have voice.

hmmm, cut the red wire? I did not do that. But I do get voice. Is it necessary or what is the difference?

Haptic works better. At least on mine it does. :P

Mine was a Blue wire... cause I'm special...

It's not needed.

The wire is to connect a signal to the stock buzzer. It should NOT affect the haptic output at all, it is a different signal.
It should NOT be necessary to cut the wire.

Must be the skinny blue wire doing it. Mine has a big fat red wire and worked fine.

I'm looking for more info on what is "the proper directory" and what file formats and file parameters. I finally have the board working - speaker working - rotary switch working - I guess.... not sure what it does yet. but I want to find a FAQ or a 411 or a DIY on how to set up sound for power up sound - condition sounds - and background music or whatver. If there is already a link.. that would be great. Also thanks to Rob and Brent for their patience with me as I got my board up and running. Also thanks to my wife, neighbors, and anybody that may have overheard me when I was trying to figure out samba etc.
