Is it feasable to use BT as Head tracker connection to Tx?

Is there any reason I would not want to use bluetooth to connect a DIY head tracker to my ErSky9x X7 for camera control?
I would need to install BT in my x7 and I would use two HC05's (one in Tx and one in head tracker).
There are several DIY head tracker solutions for which I have all the parts, and I understand that will not just plug into the slave BT module. I also have several loose atmega64's that I could load ErSky9x onto and configure as a student "Tx" (set up only for purpose of a headtracker).
This is yet another project that I will most likely never build, but I enjoy thinking about things....
