ErskyTx Test Versions

erskyTx runs on many radios and upgrade boards
ersky9x was a port of er9x for use on the sky9x board.

I haven't really had anything to add, and my time has been taken up getting erskyTx onto the X20, doing a "universal" irmware for the older FrSky ACCST receivers, and porting erskyTx to a new Tx from FrSky (not yet announced!).

I have just been away doing some other stuff :) But my 9xtreme radio is behaving a bit weird lately. I guess it needs some heavy maintenance.. :) Will be back 100% soon.
I think there are a few ErskyTX menus that might need checking? Will flash the latest firmware to all my different radios and have a good look. ;)

Cool, I was a bit afraid of ErskyTX dying. Still refuse to replace my radio with anything else!
The only thing I'd add is when programming mixes and asigning switches, if I press PB3 or PB4 it does not work. I have to press PB1 or PB2 and manually scroll to PB3 and PB4. I never said anything because it is not too tragic and I guess almost nobody has 4 push button switches.

Ill open another thread soon with an issue I already have, about the color screen blinking in several colors. Not always happens, will write it detailed next time it happens, once I memorize the color sequence.

I think I have spotted why PB3 and PB4 don't work when programming. I'll try to test a fix tomorrow.

macem wrote: Sun Aug 15, 2021 12:36 pm I really like this software, it is better than openTX, I installed it on my tgy 9XR pro and frsky Q7. But for me there is missing support for FS-RM003 modules, i have this modules in both trasmitters and I can only use PWM. Question it is possible to support i-bus, s-bus same like tgy-9x can do ?.
Thank Mike for reply, I thought that we can use code from https://bitbucket.org/KotelloRC/erfly6/ ... r/Sources/ but if this is so complicated it is not worth, we can use multimodule

Hi Mike, all the erskytx test versions dissapeared? Or are now somewhere else?

I've released R223 so I believe they are not needed any more.

All clear now. Yeah, with the new R223 released there is no need of test versions.
This might be the first time I flash a release version by the way, lol.

Hi Mike.
One question,
Does erskyTX/9XR supports higher baud rate serial comm. with multi?
I want in the near future to increase the comm. speed to 400K on multi and do some testing.
If so maybe you can make a version test or a stable version with selection(100k;400k) baudrate.

The original 9XR (and 9X -ATMEGA64/128) uses bit bashed serial and cannot support 400K baud.
The 9XR-PRO (and SKY/AR9X boards) can support higher baud rates. The signal from the processor passes through a 100 ohm resistor before arriving at the module bay pin. This resistor may limit the baudrate.

The telemetry signal (bottom pin in the module bay) is handled separately. Would this also need to be run at the higher baudrate?

Sorry, I was not specific.I have 9xR pro so I can use 400K.
I want only for TX(9XR pro)and RX (multi) side.
Bottom pin will remain at normal telemetry rate (for the moment as we don't use so high telemetry rate anyway).
I want to move multi rx serial code to DMA and do some tests.

thanks.

Hi, non important question, just curiosity:

I flashed the last Ersky test version for checking the new Num Sats function, and, even when I do get the GPS coordenates, the num sat is always 0.
Is it a bug in the software or might it be related with my telemetry multi sensor?

What telemetry protocol are you using? FrSky, for example, doesn't provide the Num Sats data.

That explains it, Mike.
I am using an original Frsky X8R receiver, with an IrangeX multiprotocol module.
The sensors I am using is this DIY one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGjC14UOOXs

Thank you as always.

Hello Mike,

I have downloaded the latest eepesky version and I have flashed the r224 20.01.2024 9xt version on my 9xtreme radio.

It might just me, but since I did it, all the previous models I have programed dont work propperly anymore.
I do not have time to deep check it because I am leaving in 5 minutes, but I tried creating new models and this is what is happening:

For example, in channel 5, I create a mix
Source HALF, Weight 100 Switch ID up, And it works.
Then I add another mix.
Source Half, weight 50, Switch UD down, and this one works, but the previous mix does not work anymore
I added another mix
Source half, weight -50, switch Ail UP, and then, this one works, but the two previous wont work anymore.
I tried adding another mix
Source half, weight -100, switch Ail down, and then, again, this one works, but the previous three wont work anymore.

Not sure if I am not seeing something, I did not sleep well, or God knows what, but that is what I am getting.

Can you take a look at it?
Thanks!

I've updated to rev 225 with this fixed, eepskye also updated to fix the same problem and another bug where switches were not displayed correctly in the mix editor.
