So, I have a Sky9x, Rev B1 board. What are the chances it will work with the new FR-SKY XJT transmitter module?

I'm awaiting the release if the module as well. Should be almost plug & play other than telemetry. You need to route that to one of the com ports on the sky9x board. There was a thread where the DHT module was modded so there was an extra plug in the back that connected to a com port. Obviously there needs to be support in the firmware for telemetry. Since opentx already has it I see no reason ersky9x shouldn't. Perhaps Mike knows the differences in the telemetry for the new module/Rx. If there is any.

The XJT uses the new SPORT that uses a single wire for bi-directional communications, and also uses a different data protocol.
There may be other issues as well.

Mike.

so the XJT won't be a drop in replacement for the D series modules??

Of course it will. There is also the same serial port as before next to the smart port.

The point is that mods will be a little different.

I will get a couple (I hope they have an internal modules as well) to replace my two modules, as I want the PXX and some of the goodies that come with it ;)

Hi Guys,
Can anyone confirm, what the nominal or standard TSSI display reading for the XJT module please. I am running Rev 3 Skyboard with r202 feb 21 version.

On the XJT module we no longer have the TSSI value, instead it sends a SWR (reflected power) value. This should be close to 0, although you might see anything up to around 30. If it goes over around 50, then it is telling you you have an antenna problem on the module.

I need to change the text on the display when operating a XJT module (when I get a moment!).

Mike,
I finally got the TSSI display readout down to 33. Do you think that will be OK now ?.
