Hi,
I have here a dx7se transmitter.
How many Channels can I use with the 9x fw and this dsm modul?
I would use the 9x firmware, because I have more
interesting function in this firmware. But I need also more channels.
If only 7 channels available, maybe I have to switch to FrSky?
Thanks

I personally would switch to frsky..
DSM if I am correct is currently working reliably with 6 channels? There have been some threads recently regarding the possibility of using more channels - but I dont know if that is possible yet.
With frsky.. you are still currently limited to 8 channels. This is hopefully going to change soon with the new PXX protocol options

Look at what your needs are.
If you have a lot of spektrum stuff, stay the spektrum route. If not, why not stick with stock rx's? I use both, me personally cannot see the use for frsky modules, I don't need telemetry, i already have it with my fpv setup.
For me , the next logical step is range, and that would be a uhf band tx/rx setup, not another 2.4ghz system.
It all depends on your needs.
Never tried a dx7se module in our radios, it should give you 7 channels. But then again, if the firmware is set to only encode 6, then you're sol.

Thanks, for this Info.
I will have a look for different module's, and reading.
