Hello Mike, has anything changed with r82 of amod_last.hex?
I had re-flashed my radio downloading your latest again as I deleted it from my machine.
And for whatever reason, the up on Thr Trim doesn't work anymore.

Strangely I flashed it once before and it fixed the problem.

Thanks.

EDIT : Ignore this request...
Joao forwarded the Hex File to me and it worked... I apparently can't download files properly from the Google Code Site. :(

It would be nice to generate a combined version always (bootloader+main program)!

Will it be working or not? I'm adding pads for haptic on my board and warry about working scheme.

Hi Oliver,
it will not work!
I would do it as the backlight control.
Without the 150 ohm resistor.

Thank you, Hans. But it not sutable in my situation.
:(
I need help.
I need version of schematic when one wire of haptic connected to ground, not +5v, and the other - to transistor, as I paint on my picture. May be I need to change transistor type? Or something else?

I asked if you have a PNP transistor because you said that one wire of the haptic has to connect to ground.. Can you tell us why?
What's the problem of using hageha's schematic above? why can't you connect the motor to +5V?

What do you have to drive the motor? a FET? A transistor? PNP? NPN?
We must know this to be able top help you.. Normally we would use something like hans posted above ;)

I see nothing wrong with the schematic. I am assuming that the drive to the transistor is from some 3.3 or 5 Volt source. The circuit (which is an emitter follower) I have used myself on the Haptic setup. The bonus of it is that you can alter the voltage (by changing the ratio of the two resistors on the base) that arrives at the emitter to match that of what you require for the motor.

Yes the transistor is the correct type in the circuit. It is meant to be an NPN transistor.

Now I making some redesign of my board, making it more sutable for installing under the stock T-board. As you remember, my board requires to remove beeper, transistor and 7805 from T-board. But some users have a Speaker+haptic mod, that requires this transistor and LM7805. So I decided to add a ftagment of scematic from haptic mod. But as it turned out, it is not easy to add +5v pad on the spare place on my board. Or making additional jumper wires or something else. But it is easy to add ground pad, so, I belives that there is kind of schematics when one wire of the motor can be connected to ground. And I asked you, my frends, about help.
So now I understood, that is nothing to change, it will work as I paint, may be only check the resistor values?

Oliver,
I have your circuit, tested plug on the board.
It does not work!
The voltage gain in "collector circuit" is <1
The power gain is small.
With your dimensioning of the resistors, the voltage on the motor was only ~ 0.5 volts.
Take a PNP Transistor! However, you must then invert the control signal!

I have a basic question to the board.

What are/will be the M64 RX/TX lines be used for ?

The reason is, I have built the voice module with an Arduino Nano V3.0 that has an FTDI chip with USB connector that allows flashing of the Arduino. The FTDI chip uses the same processor pins (PD0,PD1) that the M64 Rx/Tx lines are assigned.

I'm not aware, if it will be possible to part these lines directly.

(As an alternative, Arduino Serial library supports up to three serial software interfaces. If necessary, it should be possible to use different pins for the m64 Rx/Tx lines and redefine the pins in the Arduino code ??)

Ok. I Placed new version of my board into repositiory. I Will check tomorrow the compliance with real stock T-board and will make it.
If someone have my board and want to connect it to M64 (with new working scematic) - then they need to make some changes.

Oliver, what does your board do, besides the audio, that the mod in the first post doesn't? I didn't read the whole thread (way to long) so if it is in there somewhere I didn't get to read it.

My board, like other boards do the same things.Read wiki. I have only some minor differences:
- have only ttl 5v uart to computer connection (othes boards have rs232 levels also)
- have pads to connect haptic motor (like described in haptic mod) due to my board requires desoldering transistor from stock T-board

Thanks, Oliver, I didn't realize it had developed that much. My question was what the difference is between your board and the one in the Original Post on the first page, which uses the voice module from another company. Thanks to your link I now see that that is way outdated and that the trend is to make your own voice card, if I understood it correctly.

As I had said, this thread is way beyond reading it all through! :D I think there are over 3100 posts here :!: :!: :!:

it's not the trend. ;)
The problem is that the company that sells them decided to change the firmware on the chips and made it veeeeery slow..
That's when Oliver had the idea to build his own sound module. that is how it started..

You mean that the emartee module will not work properly? I had just ordered it yesterday!! Is it garbage? Image

I didn't see in the pictures that the home made boards had any SD card receptacle. If the above board is no good I could use the SD slot, I think.:)

Anybody has any of the custom made board that they bought three off?
