TS2950 needs 1uF for stability. 2.2u could be good
Others are 100n minimum. Using 4x 2.2u C1-C4 should be also good.

I did like that it said what was on screen.. with a configurable screen that could work. We could select the parameters we wanted to be said.. but would have to be on a switch, or it would drive us crazy.. don't like the voice.. and I certainly don't like the price

Time has been a bit limited recently, so not much in the way of updates. I have, however, added another version of er9x.hex (for FrSky) to the first post. This has been compiled using version 4.7.0 of the compiler (instead of 4.3.3). The resulting code is about 1500 bytes smaller!
There is support for the FrSky current sensor in this version, untested as I don't have the sensor.

It would be very helpful if a few out there could give this a test to ensure the new compiler hasn't done anything silly. Please be careful and only fly if you are completely happy with the performance. I think it should be OK, I believe open9x is using this version of the compiler.

Mike, did you make any change in the audio itself?
If so, could you please let us know what? because maybe the audio needs to be programmed diferently for what I want it to do..

Thanks again

Power supply portion of board works as it should, need to check out continuity of board and fit chip, should be tomorrow, and card reader which will be when it arrives.

Apparantly Erazz has version 4.7.0 of the compiler and is happy with it so the switch should be straightforward.
The 1500 bytes of flash will come in very useful for additions.

Where is best to take the supply from in the TX, straight off battery or is there a connection after the main on off switch. Is there any test I can do that would prove my board is working before my sound card arrives. Dont want to plug it in and blow it up in one go, I would like it to say "Help I'm dying" or something first.

I tapped the battery power from the back of the on/off switch. This way it would use battery power and also be switched off completely when not in use.

OK That's what I was thinking but thought there might have been somewhere else better. How does this mod affect the haptic and speaker mod.

Friends! I have an idea, perhaps, to vote, as a modification of the technical solutions:
Image
Image
This change was Valentin Timofeyev from Latvia, unfortunately, in this embodiment, there is only the voice of a countdown timer. I do not have the experience and knowledge in the field of electronics, so I suggest using the Mikes scheme and Valentin Timofeyev idea to replace the motherboard with boozer in the transmitter.

could the transistor that drive the led backlight on the audio/voice board drive an EL backilght, or better change it to a FET?
The reason I'm asking is that on my other tx I already have the EL installed and really don't want to mess about with the LCD again unless it's really necessary.. You know how stong they are :? ;)

Well, I'm using the 78L33 and still didn't have problems even if it's max current is only 100mA. And I'm using the modules amplifier to drive the speaker..

Just made a fantastic discovery for the wires that go into the via's, male servo terminals are a good fit and the only thing underneath is some padding for the backlight. The pins are a bit long so I cut them in half so they wont stick through too much and they will need a bend putting in them so they dont foul on the back case. I' try to get some pics up tomorrow.

Depends on the wiring for the rest of the backlight you have. The signal you are using is a transistor switching to ground when the backlight is to be ON. It does NOT pull high.

I think the transistor is operating in the wrong sense (low for light ON, high for light OFF). You might be able to use the logic signal out from '574 though. It is only 3.3V when high. Are you using the SmartieParts board?
