hi Mike , please help me .I'm sorry if i post not right
i can't understand why output PPM can't use for modul Frsky or use to simulator on PC .
i check pin 10 , it is 5volt ,and has pulse signal but can't use . while Atmega128 still update program .
i also check all setup program for out put PPM , but it still so
i guess pin 10 can't use , So you can support me a file Hex use pin 9 or any pin free ?
i can't replace atmega128 because i solder very bad .
thanks

Re: PPm Output problem
I moved you post to this (new) topic.
What are you using the check pin 10?
Try a test for the simulator output. In the RADIO SETUP, set "Enable PPMSIM" to ON.
Now set a model to use protocol PPMSIM.
This actually provides a PPM signal on pin 9, and routes it to the trainer pin.
Mike.

Re: PPm Output problem
thanks
i use headphone to test , i hear sound signal on pin 10 , but it don't work with modul TX or cable simulator
Now, i just soldered pin 9 and it has signal . Fun .
However, seem pin 10 can't use more, I want ask about Volt on PIN 10 normal how much ?
So, i can use Pin 9 to replace ? to fly and practice Simulator ?

Mike, I wonder if he has a bad 4066??jamedavid wrote:thanks

Re: PPm Output problem
Pin 10 should be switching between 0V and 5V.
If you set up PPMSIM as I described, can you use your simulator plugged in to the trainer jack socket?
It may indeed be a bad 4066.

Re: PPm Output problem
yes, i use pin 9 play simulator with trainer jack socket .
you say ic 4066,? i think i lost pin 10 because i solder direct to pin 10 to use for simulator . but failure.
maybe i will post a picture from OSD for pin 10.

Re: PPm Output problem
i still don't understand diffirence between pin 9 and 10 ,although both create signal PPM
Re: PPm Output problem
Pin 10 is connected to the transmitter module, as well as the 4066 circuit. Pin 9 goes only to the 4066 circuit. The 4066 circuit controls whether the trainer jack (the headphone-style jack on the back of the 9X) is an input (reading PPM from a slaved trainer radio) or an output (sending PPM to a master trainer radio or simulator module). Normally Pin 10 is an output and Pin 9 is an input. IIRC, the PPMsim setting makes them both outputs to deal with a hardware bug that prevented output on the trainer jack?jamedavid wrote:i still don't understand diffirence between pin 9 and 10 ,although both create signal PPM

Re: PPm Output problem
Good description, unfortunately you have pins 9 and 10 swapped in their function.
Pin 10 goes to the module and the 4066.
Pin 9 is the trainer pin, and is normally an input, but is an output when PPMSIM is selected.
