Do you have the stock module inserted? There was a problem with the radios that would cause them not to output the PPM stream over the trainer port with the module inserted. The solution was to pull the module out or to add a resistor inside the radio.

I think I remember that you can only output 4 channels to a sim, is that what happened? the new model you created is only 4 channels?
can you tell me what cable you are using to connect to pc?
thanks :)

khewl,
do you still have to remove the transmitter module to use the sim on your er9x version?

Now testing on phoenix rc it goes very well on the 4 ch template.

but running on 6 or 8 channel like with the 450 template it just wont work. When calibrating,in the advance calibrating menu,if i give roll command, ialways have a 3 channel mix instead of 2 so the heli is not drifting to the right or left perfectly...
it goes left+forward or reverse...
it goes right+forward or reverse...

its the same thing with the pitch command, not a straight forward or reverse,it leans on one side or the other...

ive tried these setting on my 500 gt and the commands/servos are acting like they should....

any suggestions??

someone running phoenix with more than 4 channels?

help would be appreciated

here are my radio settings for phoenix:http://www.forum-heliquebecrc.com/viewt ... f=49&t=167.....all the swithes are off,no th curves

I think the problem is in PPM and CCPM.

ive just programmed an old ccpm Eflite 6 channels with no problem.everything is working perfectly ;)

Now the question is ...is there a way to put ER9X in ccpm mode ?

sorry, I did not see this from the iPhone, because the video did not show up.
Please post your eepe file. Also please tell me do you have the resistor mod done on your TX (if you don't know then I take it is not)
Next what are you using between the TX and the PC ....not just cable, but the exact one please.
Fairly simple please confirm the tx is calibrated (if you did state this already, please forgive me for asking)

EDIT : Sorry if I ask the same questions that was asked before.

hi there...no problem ;)

Yes the TX is calibrated
Im using the HK dongle i wanted to try the original one with er9x but it uses a stereo jack so i dunno if it will work

The resistor mod for the tx module is not done yet but will shortly...for now im just taking it off

For the eepe file,do you mean the er9x file?

thanks

Ok now I'd sugest get the mod done 1st, it's fast and simple. You know how to do it, but just for ease here is a picture explaining it in full I think.

Next, use the original cable, it should work fine.

Yes the eepe file of the settings you use on the TX, so I can load the same settings on mine to test.

i guess ill need more explanation/images or vids for this one hehehe.

Please don't cut the other tracks near to the pins. that belongs to the telemetry mod. just the track where the resistor will be soldered..

yes sory, I should have said, the other tracks that are cut is for the frsky mod, only look at the resistor. Here I post the better Pictures only showing the resistor mod, the 1st picture was just to see what track it's on.
Cut the track, using the resistor as guide for size

Solder it in place, and clean afterwards :)

I was under the impression you have the original cable (with stereo jack) but if you don't it should not be a problem.

they are very common, if you have some old pcb around you will probably find one on it. Does not have to be a SMD, you can use a normal resistor also. Post you TX file then I can at least start testing and see if I can recreate the problem. Does this only happen on Phoenix ? For this I'll get the demo and install windowzzzzzz on bootcamp to test.

both mono and stereo work.. for the simulator I use mono that comes with the usb adaptor. at the field I already used a stereo audio cable for teacher/student connection and it worked..
On my simulator (aerofly) I had to limit the number of channels er9x outputs for the sim model to 4. Possibly works until 6 but I didn't check.

Hi...You have to set the tx to airplane mode so you'll have a 4 channel output instead of 5/6 (the others for the collectives and switches) ;)

Re: er9x and simulator

This is how to do it on er9x.
Create a new basic model, then go the the model main settings menu, if I'm not mistaken it's the one right after the menu where you load the models. There is an option for changing the number of channels the tx outputs for that model. set it to 4.
Hope that helps.

About the stock firmware, I have no idea. never used it..

Do you have a mono phono plug to usb? or serial for connection to your pc?? And did you try it with the module unplugged from the back of the radio??
