Turnigy 9x Help
Turnigy 9x Help
Good evening all,
I have just flashed my 9x with the er9x 128 FW. The transmitter is displaying fine and I can see that it is accepting the inputs on the control sticks. I have Re-binded my receiver but none of my servos are reacting to the inputs. Have i missed something in the initial setup after installing new FW.
Any help will be great.
Regards
Stu

Re: Turnigy 9x Help
What Tx module and receiver are you using?
What do you have the protocol set to in the protocol menu?

Re: Turnigy 9x Help
Try changing the polarity to NEG.
As I understand it, the "new" AFHDS2A module normally uses a PCM protocol from the Tx. This protocol is not currently implemented in er9x/ersky9x or in openTx. I don't have one of these modules so it would be difficult to test, even if I had full details of the PCM protocol. It probably needs to be reverse engineered.
One solution would be to obtain a multi-protocol module. This is supported by er9x and includes the AFHDS2A protocol.

Hello
My turnigy 9x is the same - TX Module is 9x Native 2.4Ghz and RX Turnigy iA8 AFHDS 2A
which version to use, can the latest from the site (revision 821)?
And does everything work normally, sticks, buttons, range?

Re: Turnigy 9x Help
No reason not to use the latest "test version" (currently "er9xProv822r.zip"), which you will find here: https://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopi ... 598#p64969.
While called "test versions", files I post are fully working unless the description underneath the file indicates something needs careful testing.

Re: Turnigy 9x Help
So, should this pos to neg or vice versa work with a 9XR Pro using a V2 receiver? ie so it would work with 2A receivers? I am currently rebuilding said Pro so cannot check at the moment!
Having thought about it, to use later 2A receivers I would need a FM003 module installed and the earlier receivers a FM002 module, anyone confirm please?

Re: Turnigy 9x Help
Can I put a multiprotocol module in Turnigy 9x. What module is the best ? I liked it iRangeX IRX4 Plus 2.4G or cheaper RADIOBOSS Jumper JP4IN1. And can use serial mode? Or only PPM mode?MikeB wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 11:55 am No reason not to use the latest "test version" (currently "er9xProv822r.zip"), which you will find here: https://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopi ... 598#p64969.

Yes to the POS to NEG setting and I think you are right about the module you need, although I don't use those to be able to check. If you need a new module, you could always consider a multi-protocol module that will do both.stotty1111 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 11, 2020 8:44 pm So, should this pos to neg or vice versa work with a 9XR Pro using a V2 receiver? ie so it would work with 2A receivers? Re: Turnigy 9x Help
Yes the multi-protocol module works in a 9X (with er9x) in serial mode. Either of those will work fine. For best results you need the "telemetry mod" done to receive status and telemetry data from the module.

Re: Turnigy 9x Help
Thank you so much!
Does it matter which module I buy, do they support the same functions and protocols?
And lastly, is there a tutorial for telemetry mod?
Thanks again!
