I just want to verify this is the correct version for a 9X w/ Atmega64

er9x is the best known firmware. It has a superb range of features and is well supported by the community. Well worth trying out.

I just want to verify this is the correct version for a 9X w/ Atmega64

Post by hackerjoe »

Is er9x-frsky-sv the correct version for a 9X Atmega64 radio with Serial Voice and Telemetry mod?
I'm guessing it is from the frsky = Tel mod and sv = serial voice.
I just want to be sure.

I flashed my 9X Atmega64 radio with er9x-frsky-sv and when going into Hardware option there is nowhere to turn on Serial Voice or Telemetry Mod like in the Atmega128 version.
Is it turned on automatically?

Is there a version that could be used just to activate serial voice only and not the telemetry mod?

Thank you,

Joe

Yes, the hardware is configured automatically. There isn't any spare flash space in the M64 to make these options. If you need to set any other hardware mods (extra switches?), you have to do this in eepe.
I don't normally build a version with just the serial voice. I think I assumed that if you didn't have the telemetry mod, then you were unlikely to want/need the voice output!

Hi Mike,

Thank you
I'm working on the Telemetry Mod now using a DJT module.
I plan on installing the ArduVoice board as well.
I figured it was done like that too save flash. I think I recall reading about that some where and was just making sure I loaded the correct version.
