Near ideal Tx box!

Post by kaos »

I was looking at this: http://www.futaba-rc.com/systems/futk9410-14sg/
6 3-position switches, one momentary, one 2 position, 2 side wipers, 2 pots
with that, add a removable module bay at the center back, move the trainer port and SBus next to the ear phone jack, add a wheel encoder on the left of the screen. Bing Go!.
Hope the Horus is like that. 8-)

You have an encoder on the right side ;)

And I hope the Horus look like the prototype picture we saw before. Awesome. I wish they would use an encoder like the ones we use on the 9x instead of the JR type wheel encoder though :o

Is it? I thought it is a 4 way button. but if it is then no need for another encoder. ;)
I think the prototype does not have 6 3-wya switch. hope they will do that.

Sorry Kaos. That looks like some kids play toy, rather than something a serious modeller would use. The only format that makes sense is the tray format or some form of direct control from your brain.

This is one example of what I'm talking about.

Near ideal Tx box!

What's really great about all these radios is the fact that what eraz and others started some years ago has had such a lasting influence on the radio manufactures.
That and the forward thinking the others on our forums that have continued to push the envelope forcing the big radio manufactures to keep up. Weather building or buying a new radio system these days, many are no longer some hard coded non telemetry system without audio!
I must give Hitec credit for having audio early on in a retail system and Spektrum for 2.4 and telemetry.
But er9x evolved to include all these features putting more pressure on the retail manufactures.
Thanks to eraz, MikeB, SkyNorth, Jhsa, and the Taranis development team, and many I missed, new radios designs have to keep up.
I'm not a tray flyer but very impressed with a new Jeti I saw at my field and others posted.
We're all winners.
Add Oliver to the list. I'm sure I've missed some but thank you all.

Showmaster, I'm not a developer. I wish I was
I'm just the official nagger. I nag the developers so we can have some cool features . Or I used to. I think I'm losing my qualities ;) :D

Flaps30, I would love to have that "expensive plane crasher" Jeti radio. Then I would sell it so I could buy a frsky radio and a few more Petrol powered models with the money. At least my 9x's sticks never broke while flying any of my models. A Jeti stick did
No way I would fly with that.. It has no soul like my 9x's do. It took many hours of work for Mike, Bertrand, Romolo, Eraz and many others to write some firmwares that do most of what (if not more) that thing is able to do.. And they do it for free.. That is the kind of radio Barbie would have if she could fly models  No thanks.. And not mentioning the fact that it is made for arm chair pilots.. No offense meant :)
You like gliders, try to throw a DLG with that :D

Long live the 9x. Just got another one by the way.. ;)

Flaps30: 'kid toy' = easy to use. ;) All in a compact package. Also I am a thumb flyer, duplex does not play well with my fingers. ;)
I would rather use a MacAir than working on a main frame.

Ha Ha, I was just a believer and a dreamer
Mike and Oliver made the dream come true.. ;)
They probably couldn't stand reading my posts anymore, so they did it just to get rid of me lol
