Ailerons moving slow & with delay

openTx has introduced a range of new features, ideas and bling. It is fast becoming the firmware of choice for many users. openTx will run on ALL current hardware platforms, including the gruvin9x and sky9x boards. Work has already started to support the new FrSky X9D radio!

Did you even read the post?
The issue has nothing to do with the module or location since it shows on the channel monitor before any of that is involved.

Hi Tomek,
You could try swapping your gimbals and see if the problem follows.

If you read my post carefully you'll realise that the problem is not there anymore. It somehow disappeared before I was able to pinpoint it. I know one thing I don't want it to come back when I try to avoid an obstacle with my quad. This is what is worrying my most. I don't trust my gear anymore.
@ jhsa - my Taranis has not been online for some time ;-) so I don't think that there are any unwanted updates installed overnight.

... and one more thing came to my mind - the slow aileron I was talking about appeared first on my wing. This means I had a delta mix set up. Sinds both channels acted sluggish on the channel monitor it means the problem is in the input and NOT the output. Why it becomes slow I still don't know but I am pretty sure it has something to do with feeding bad aileron signal into the "mixer".

Hello,
This has been happening on my Taranis X9D for a while now. Can't figure it out. It is only ailerons. The problem happen with all my quads.I first discovered the problem while flying the simulator. Only happens on occasion. Here is a video of the problem.

Your gimbal pot is faulty.

Did you solve this? Personally I disassembled my Taranis, removed and inspected the plugs of the gimbals on the PCB, cleaned all the connections and haven't had a problem since. I can't say I solved the problem but it seems to work so far. I had it on my hall gimbals and only on aileron chanel. I am wondering if anybody experienced this on the standard pot gimbals?
cheers,
Tomek

The X9E,with standard pot gimbals, are plaggued with a similar issue because the wire they used on gimbal is too rigid and is over time creating a bad contact between gimbal connector and main board, so yes, it can happen with no hall pot too

I am having similar problems with X9d 2019, ACCST, LBT, 2.3.9, 2XX, 2 months old
The first occasion was on the throttle channel when a ESC failed to arm. When checking the monitor, the throttle only operated between 0 and +100 (exactly) I carried out a calibration and it all worked OK. (this was not the models first flight)
The second occasion was on a different model when I had almost no elevator control in flight. On the ground the monitor showed only about 10% elevator movement and was very slow and with a delay. I carried out a calibration then switched the Tx off. When switching it on again, it did not start on the usual screen but instead opened up on the Calibration screen.
The third occasion during a preflight check on yet another model, the elevator only moved about 20% and had the speed and delay above.
Any ideas?
All three models were using S6R receivers and used the internal module and i have Data Log for all three events.
