I'm getting a Nighthawk 280 quad from a friend who uses Spectrum radio gear. Is there anyone out there running 2.17 with an EEPE file that might get me a quickstart.
The equipment AFAIK:
Naze Flip 32 board
Cleanflight installed
I have the orignal Taranis (not plus)
I guess I will need a D4R-II receiver to output PPM and telemetry.
Grateful of any help with this.

Are you getting the Spectrum receiver installed with it ?
I believe 2.17 is OpenTx firmware and eepe uses er9X firmware.

No, he is keeping it. I have a Dx6i and 6200 rx but want to use the Taranis as I can get telemetry etc.

What is the firmware that you have on your Taranis (OpenTx or erSky9x-x9d) ?
Myself, I use erSky9x-x9d firmware with my Taranis-x9d radio and eepSkye on the PC.
Then you will want use (install) a FrSky D-Series or X-Series receiver.
I use the FrSky D8R-XP and D8R-II Plus for D-Series or the X8R and X6R for X-Series receivers.

Re: Help with Pixhawk 280 and EEPE request
I have the Open Tx 2.17 on my Taranis. I mentioned the D4R - ii because it can output PPM, not that I know too much about all of this at the moment as I just starting reading about multirotors and the electronics yesterday.

There is no version 2.17. Did you mean version 2.0.17 or 2.1.7. They are very different.

Re: Help with Pixhawk 280 and EEPE request
Its not Open Tx 2.17. Its OpenTx 2.1.7
Anyway go to (http://open-txu.org/) for info help.
Quads are setup in the radio the same as a plane would be.
