Program expo on a switch?

openTx has introduced a range of new features, ideas and bling. It is fast becoming the firmware of choice for many users. openTx will run on ALL current hardware platforms, including the gruvin9x and sky9x boards. Work has already started to support the new FrSky X9D radio!

Program expo on a switch?

Post by ulven »

Helle, I wonder if this is possible and if so, how do i program it?

I would like some expo on my quadcopter when i do filming.

Is it possible to program the radio like if switch SA is in first position, there is no expo, but if the SA is in the midle position i have 20% expo on ail, rudder and yaw.
If the SA is in the third position i have 40% expo.

Is this possible to do?

Yes.
Go to mixes.
Copy the existing mix AIL/ELE and padte it 3 times.
You now have four identical mixes.
(If you are using your radio to make these changes)
Open the top most mix.
Set Expo.
Locate and select Switch.
Move SA to the desired position.
Exit. Exit.
Done.
Do the same for the next two mixes.
The fourth and last mix is optional. I don't keep it myself but I watched a video where Scot Page kept it as a fall back (but I may be mistaken). Check out his play 2.0 and beyond on youtube. Also look for painless360.
Please test.

My explanition was not exactly what you asked. But you hopefully get the idea.
Repeat step for each channel/control surface.
