Possible? Throttle down is neutral on fwd/rev ESC & use switch to reverse direction?

openTx has introduced a range of new features, ideas and bling. It is fast becoming the firmware of choice for many users. openTx will run on ALL current hardware platforms, including the gruvin9x and sky9x boards. Work has already started to support the new FrSky X9D radio!

Possible? Throttle down is neutral on fwd/rev ESC & use switch to reverse direction?

Post by Nalm22 »

Is this possible? Using 2.2 on taranis x9d+, bi-directional ESC on throttle stick. Set ESC neutral when throttle is down at bottom of travel. Throttle up to top of travel is ESC 100% forward. Use a switch to reverse where throttle down to bottom is still ESC neutral and throttle up is now ESC 100% reverse.
ESC calibration could be throttle all up for 100% forward, throw switch with throttle all up for 100% reverse, throttle all down for neutral.

Yes this is possible. If you sey weight to 200 and offset to -100 you will get output of 0 to 100 on one mixer row. Make this row active be a switch up. Theb create a second nixer row on the same channel and create weight -200 and offset 100. Active this mixer with the switch down. This will then be 0 to -100

Thanks for the explanation! The options of this system are a bit overwhelming. I will give this a try.

Be aware, that, at any time, you can switch your motor from full forward to full reverse!!
