OpenTx Companion / "Live Update"

openTx has introduced a range of new features, ideas and bling. It is fast becoming the firmware of choice for many users. openTx will run on ALL current hardware platforms, including the gruvin9x and sky9x boards. Work has already started to support the new FrSky X9D radio!

OpenTx Companion / "Live Update"

Post by jjwebster »

Hi... "long time listener, first time caller" and very much enjoy OpenTx for all my R/C needs.

Question is if it is possible to connect a radio to OpenTx Companion, make changes (say, mix curve or weight), update models on radio, and see it live on the model itself without having to "eject" the drive. It such a bummer to the workflow to constantly be connecting / ejecting USB to make iterative changes. I have used OpenTx Companion 2.2 and 2.3 on both a Taranis X9D+ and RadioMaster TX16S and behavior is consistent: until you eject, actual model does not receive adjustments. I have also tried this connecting in bootloader and while OpenTx is running on radio.

No.

Maybe make those small changes on the radio itself?
