R9M Baudrate And Pin out (Special Needs People)

Post by DroneMesh »

Hello Everyone,

I am in the progress of creating a module repeater for opentx which would plug in the JR bay.
Reason for this is to help people with special needs be able to control RC models.

However I am currently stuck at the R9M system.

Where I need help.
1. What pin and how is the R9M speaking to opentx is it over the PPM pin?
2. What baudrate is being used for the R9M module?

Any help would be appreciated.

The radio sends commands to the module via a proprietary "PXX" pulse train, not standard serial. Probably best to look at the code to see how it works.

Even better is to give more details about what you actually want your system to do, since there are several commonly used "repeater" solutions already.
