Freezing Thr - any idea how to program this?

I fly helis and I use spring loaded throttle / collective stick. Thus I can't remove the hand out of throttle stick, otherwise it comes back to center (and the heli is falling down). This works great for me, and I really like it, but sometimes I would like to be able to "freeze" the throttle. I imagine it like this, for example:
- enabling a switch causes current Thr value to be stored and used instead of stick position
- disabling the switch comes back to normal operation (Thr taken from the stick / thr input).

I tried "instant trim" function but it seems it works for everything except of Thr stick.
I could take Thr value from GV when the switch is ON, but I can't find a way to store Thr into GV.
I could do with a script, but this looks like an overkilll...

How could this be programmed?

Ch3 100% Thr
R 100% Ch3 switch (any switch you like)

"R" means it is a "Replace" type mix..

Isn't this going to give full throttle when engaged?

No. It gives "100% of itself" which is the current value.
