Just an FYI, if you notice... it's NOT the ugly Turnigy green, they went to save money and are buying the eurgle cases with the turnigy name plates. They should have done this eons ago.

It's a nice black case.

I wonder how much they will sell it. I bet it won't be 10.00 less. If that is the case, might as well get the full version and use the module box for something else. the moduel box cost 12+ dollars.

My thoughts exactly. No RF module and no receiver, wonder what their price point will be. Should know in a couple of days. If less than$30USD then it will be a good source for parts, mods, etc.

$10 less than the other version.. they put a note, due to supply and demand. ahahha.. .I wanted to get another one, but not for $10 less... $20 , no problem. $15... maybe... but only $10.. not so much

Yep difference is a little small... However there is one benefit, as there is no RF transmitter this would solve the problem of the countries where the 9x gets stopped by customs for lack of CE certificate...

The best is the weight difference between the us warehouse and the international warehouse.

Gee, never pay attention to weight. Hk is stuffing 500g waste on USA warehouse T9X and make money out of shipping charge.

Right now the module-free has one HUGE advantage - it's in stock! Just ordered one

Don't forget HK use the 9x as a "calling product" with ridiculously low / no markups just to attract the customer and have him order more stuff along, the "normal" price everybody else has for it is around $85...
At $50 I'm still saving $35 vs those and can have one now.

actually, yesterday when I was looking at the moduless Tx at HK, for a brief moment the ones with module was available (i was utterly surprised). Just thinking whether I should order another one, in about 5 min, it changed to BK.

But I like the wowrcmodel's. it has the removable module instead of the solder antenna like Turnigy. May be I will get that one down the road.
Wait, I am in no hurry to get another 9X. I will wait for the FrSky Tx.

According to what was said the 9XR would be Hobbyking's own design, so it would be exclusive to them... we'll see.

I doubt it has. I was looking for one at some point, and wrote to a couple of shops that had photos of the radio with removeable module just to confirm, and all said they now had the newer version with antenna on the radio. They just don't bother updating the photos.

I recently (May 7) received a Eurgle from r2hobbies with the separate module with the antenna on it and a rubber stopper where the fixed antenna would have been.

Hey, I think ShowMaster should get a royalty fee from these venders for that rubber stopper. He is the one came up with that idea, and got it from Lowe. I have one too.

Thanks to to a smart lady at my local store that when I showed her my tx said she had just the thing and found it when the guys there said they had nothing! We all got lucky that day. I see many at my field lately so I know someone is reading the 9x fourm posts or they found the same lady ha ha.
Good thing is later if I upgrade to DSM and a dual system I'll just remove the cap and mount the other antenna there as it was before the DJT module conversion.
