FrSky Distributor in US

Post by erazz »

After blowing up my FrSky gear in the lab ps 30v debacle
I needed to buy a new rx and programming cable STAT!

HK was out of stock and EXPENSIVE! I mean the parts themselves were'nt expensive but fast shipping was more than $30! Bahhhhh!

Jump on over to the FrSky website and look up US distributors. Found Aloft hobbies. Prices were on par or a little more expensive than HK (about $5 on a 30$ rx). Priority shipping was $6. Bingo!

Total time from click to postman-at-my-door was less than 48 hours :o

Super thumbs up to Aloft hobbies (link below). Fast, accurate, inexpensive and in stock!

I ordered 2 of the new Frsky 4 Ch RX's just released for sale. I checked the Aloft site and they were in stock so I ordered 2 and a rpm sensor and a Fld mount. Good prices, low shipping charges and got everything in 2 days. Aloft is about 65 miles from me so I feel like I've won the lottery.

I ordered a few things from them as well, their shipping prices are very interesting to Europe too.

I'm still buying from HK and the likes. We get dinged taxes from the states, but no where else. Thats another 13% on top of what the cost is.

Yup, the 13% doesn't include the duty and brokerage fees.

:D

I'm allowed to complain, how dare they take my hobby money.

I must say that moving to the US was an eye-opener as far as customs and shipping is concerned.

It's so much easier and cheaper here :)

Work would be better with beer. I mean more enjoyable. The actual work might suffer a bit.

Thanks for the kind words! We really appreciate when our customers suggest us!!

We have had reports from Canadian customers that they have received their shipments without any duties added. I can not guarantee this, but thought I'd pass on the info. We have heard similar from a number of countries actually. We do not do anything special, but we are usually shipping in a small flat rate box, and those may slip through customs a bit quicker?

Anyhow, we will continue to do our best to serve our R/C community with a high level of service and low prices.

Oh yeah, we now offer First Class Mail for shipping within the USA. Most FrSky orders can be shipped for under $3.

For Canadian orders, as long as they go USPS then no problems, however if UPS or Fedex are used, we get charged customs duty + brokerage fees. I've had to pay $80 on a $150 order, so you can understand if we try and stay away from those guys.
