here is the full house, 7 servo glider eepe. this came from lesson 5 for all of us that didn't actually get that far in his modules. it has all the mixes
AIL- RUD
AIL -FLAP
FLAP- ELE
CAMBER/REFLEX
CROW/BUTTERFLY
THR HOLD
THR SAFETY SWITCH
MODE MASTER SWITCH( when in off position it is a basic plane set)
3 modes start/souring/landing

IF in doubt watch richardmrazek youtube er9x lesson 5. but instead of having to do all the programing here it is. but i would reconmend going through the tutorial and understanding and learning to programe better if you dont have full grasp of it yet. Thank you very much Richard for do those tutorials.

Haven a hard time trying to find out how to switch the ventus templet to mode 2.. Any ideas in how to do this. Been trying to understand the videos from Richard.. Thanks

Ok I think I'm not maken myself clear... I would like to have this templete for north America type radios... thr,rud on left stick and al,elv on right stick. Man I've tryed everything to have it work... I need help. One more time I would like AIL on CHANL 1 - ELE on CHANL 2 - THR on CHANL 3 - ans RUD on CHANL 4 and maybe FLAPS on CHANL 5 or 7..You seeing what I'm after. I don't want to learn what stick does what... Im use to this...

Unfortunately er9x doesn't work that way... it actually swaps the source in the mixes, so it does the opposite of what you'd want (keeps the stick->channel assigment but changes the names, instead of keeping the names and adjusting the stick->channel assignment), basically making the mode setting useless
Always found that very stupid, one more thing open9x gets right.

If the OP wants to copy that model into his Mode 2 eeprom, he'll have to change all the THR mixers to ELE, and vice-versa. And plug the servos to the channel numbers that have been decided in the template, as channel numbers are freely assignable in the 9x firmwares.

The

AIL on CHANL 1 - ELE on CHANL 2 - THR on CHANL 3 - ans RUD on CHANL 4

is just a Futaba thing. Nothing to do with the mode or country.

It's simple, to change from Mode 1 to mode 2 (or back) just swap the THR and ELE mixer inputs. They are the only 2 controls that change.

You can see how this works in eepe. Just make a new eeprom file (File->New) Change the general settings to mode 1 and the channel order to AETR. Create a new model (Just double click on an open slot). Have a look on the mixer page. You will see the mixers in the order you selected. Go back to general settings, and change it to Mode 2. Go back to the mixer page. Now you will find the channel order is ATER. To make it work again just switch the THR and ELE mixer inputs

No, it was left as label changes only in case you accidentally switched the mode. The next time you start your model the throttle would be at 50%.

I just tested open9x.. as soon as I change the mode from 2 to 1 it displays the "Throttle not at idle" warning.

I'm trying to save and use this template.

I am using OpenTX on my 9Xr.

This saves as "Ventus 24". When I go to simulate or view the mixes using Companion9x there
are no mixes visible and no servo activity in simulation.

What am I doing wrong?

Don't wish to hijack but I have the same issue with this file. Opens in C9x but the model data is blank.

Edit - just noticed the thread at the top of this section that explains that eepm files cannot be read properly in c9x. Maybe it would help if C9x didn't open them then.

An eepm file is only able to be opened in eepe as it is for er9x.

We really need to sort then templates section to make different sections for each firmware!

Yes I understand that now. Unfortunately C9X does open it (at least this file), it is just that the data is all blank.

What is the fix? stop openning model files or finallly companion will support model files as well??

My opinion is still that companion should have a different file extension for models and eeprom. And then maybe an "Import" option for eepe and eepm files in case you want to keep supporting er9x..

The reason I'm saying this is because many of the eepe files I tried to open in companion lately turn to be completely bank.. Just the name is there.

The fix is simple. If you open the files attached in the post above you see no Mix. You will have all correctly imported now.

But what about the import option for eepe files idea? wouldn't that make things easier and more tidy?
