Mix Multiply

Post by rdeanchurch »

I'm still waitng for my transmitter (it just shipped from HK) so I'm just setting up my models in eePe and experimenting with its capabilities.

Most everything has gradually come more clear, BUT I'm stumped by the Multiply option in mixes.

Multiplying percentages doesn't compute for me.

Can someone show me a pracitcal example of a 'Multiplied Mix' or offer me an exclamation for dummies?

Thanks
Dean

Dean, big salute for playing with eepe while you wait for the radio.... your gonna be miles ahead of others that don't.

AND I'm glad you asked that question.... I can't wait for the answer. I've been wondering the same thing.

Multiplying percentages is straightforward when you consider 50% is really 0.5 of something. So 50% x 50% is really .5 x .5 = 0.25 which is 25%. just multiply the percentages and divide by 100, so 50% x 50% = 50 x 50 / 100 = 25%.

Couple of examples where multiply is used:

I was just hung up on terminolgy I guess. i.e. its a normalized value not a % to me.
I'll get over it.

Thanks Mike
