Programming a throttle POSITION hold with, Taranis

Trying to setup a switch on my Taranis X9D, V2.2 firmware, that allows me to activate a switch and HOLD THE CURRENT THROTTLE POSITION - useful when learning to hover a helicopter.

I have searched the web endlessly to no avail - plenty of articles on how to program a throttle 'kill' or 'disable' switch, but that is NOT what I am trying to achieve. I need a switch that will simply maintain the throttle signal at the last known throttle stick position until the switch is turned off.

Any ideas?

If your throttle channel is CH3, then below the main line of CH3 add a REPLACE mixer line with 100%CH3 and the switch you want to activate the feature.

You obviously want to be extremely careful when setting this up and using it, and should always have a throttle kill with higher priority.

Ch03 100% Thr
R 100% CH3 Switch (THR) (R means that this is a replace mix)
